Guides and influences technical project direction and solves significant technical problems by leveraging scientific/engineering skills and strong foundational GPS understanding developed through hands-on experimentation/application. Performs Application work and demonstrates implementation skills leveraging knowledge that moves projects forward and also begins to gain exposure to and demonstrate initial proficiency in performing integration work. Acts as point of accountability within the Global Safety Surveillance & Analysis function for post-marketing adverse event data assessment and interpretation. Demonstrates expertise (understanding of technical fundamentals/practical application) in regulatory with expertise in supporting one or more categories within a BU. Critically evaluates regulatory laws, develops regulatory strategies, identifies/measures key issues/risks and develops strategic plans to address these issues. Reapplies proven regulatory strategies; previous successful approaches.

As Project Leader, the candidate will be accountable for working with Product Development and Initiative Teams to ensure timely delivery of regional GPS assessments and programs which include Human Safety, Regulatory, and Environmental Safety support. This position requires the candidate to coordinate with the different functions within GPS (safety, environmental, and sector and Go To Market regulatory) to ensure appropriate strategies and programs are put in place to support the projects. As Regulatory Manager the candidate will be accountable to provide strategic and day-to-day regulatory support for Fabric Care products, both current business and upstream technologies.

Qualifications

Job Qualification 1: Candidate should hold a PhD in Life Science/Chemistry or equivalent at a minimum. The job requires the ability to interpret data from different scientific disciplines (e.g., human & environmental safety, chemistry, biology) and from technical functions (e.g., Regulatory, Safety, PD, PR) to develop GPS strategies for new initiatives and current business.

Job Qualification 2: Proven record for leveraging technical mastery. The ideal candidate should be capable of quickly building technical mastery in EU, Middle East and Africa regulatory requirements.

Job Qualification 3: Strong leadership skills to drive multifunctional projects forward. The role requires a high level of independence and the ability to quickly identify and overcome barriers to deliver strategic guidance to R&D and business partners, providing freedom to innovate while ensuring full compliance with global safety and regulatory requirements.

Job Qualification 4: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The role requires close interaction with different regions, functions, and the handling of complex information (safety, regulatory) that needs to be communicated in a simple and efficient way to facilitate the global decision-making process.

Job Qualification 5: Proven skill in managing complex issues to resolution. Strong bias to detail with the ability to identify & address key priorities under a heavy and diverse work portfolio.
