As a data centre field service engineer you will be responsible for the installation, operational support and maintenance of the ICT and network infrastructure at our data centres. In this way, you help ensure that all employees can continue to perform their jobs smoothly. In other words, a job with impact!

Your job responsibilities as a data centre field service engineer:

  • You will install the servers, storage boxes and network devices at our data centres.
  • You will install fibre optic connections, measure and certify them.
  • You will document all connections in the administrator tool.
  • You will resolve incidents within the data centre in collaboration with system groups.
  • You will see to the (pre-)installation and support for various IT environments.
  • You will configure ICT systems.
  • You will keep the network running.
  • You will solve problems relating to computer systems or peripherals and go on site whenever an IT problem cannot be solved remotely.

Profile:

  • Experience- You have practical and technical knowledge of IT systems. A degree in an IT-related field and/or at least 1 year of experience as a field service engineer are pluses.
  • Team player- You enjoy working in a team, but can also work autonomously.
  • Customer service and flexibility- You are service-oriented. You love helping your colleagues. You are also prepared to do interventions outside normal business hours (subject to compensation) or on weekends.
  • Driving license B - You will regularly go to our central buildings for interventions and must be able to drive a car.
  • Language skills - You speak English fluently and have a good basic knowledge of Dutch and French.
