Finance & Accounting Manager

For one of our clients, Hays is looking for a Finance and Accounting Manager in Gembloux:

The tasks include:

• Managing all aspects of the Accounting Center, including the finance department and its resources
• Optimizing basic finance processes and ensuring compliance with local statutory and tax requirements
• Overseeing month-end close and ensuring timely and accurate corporate and statutory reporting of financials
• Acting as a business partner to the entities local Business Controllers
• Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives

The profile we’re looking for:

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting and a minimum of 10 years relevant work practice as Auditor or Finance Manager. You are fluent in French& have solid knowledge of English and Dutch. You are highly IT literate, excellent PC skills including Microsoft Excel, you’re also data-driven and open to digital ways of working. We are preferably looking for an experienced Finance leader, passionate about driving improvements to increase efficiency. You have good analytical skills; an ability to understand and interpret financial results in a meaningful way.
