Our client is globally active in developing and integrating end-to-end telecom and telematics solutions, and is one of the world’s leading providers of embedded computer technology. Offices located in Zaventem.

Functieomschrijving

  • You will not only develop in JAVA, but you will think along with the other colleagues about the technical design and further evolution and/or improvement of the system;
  • You will integrate within our client’s front office department, part of the bigger internal R&D department;
  • You will intervene on the design, development and maintenance phases of systems integrating electronics and IT for transport applications;
  • You will participate in the development of embedded software for driver consoles, validators and board computers in public transport vehicles;
  • You will participate in the implementation of AFC and ITCS business logic;
  • You will work on the integration with back office components;
  • You will support the customer facing team when needed;

You will report directly to your TeamLead and the R&D manager

Vereiste ervaring

  • You have at least a bachelor’s degree in computer science or electronics, or you are equivalent by relevant professional experience;
  • You have some years of professional experience as a JAVA Developer, at least version 11;
  • You feel comfortable with a Linux environment (Ubunti/Yocto);
  • Having experience with one of recent frameworks such as SpringBoot, Quarkus and/or with Micronaut is a big plus;
  • You have knowledge of Maven or Gradle, you have experience with multi-threaded applications;
  • Having experience with embedded software, barcode and NFC is definitely a strong plus;
  • You take pride in your work and deliver clean, quality code using best practices such as Unit Tests and rigorous refactoring;
  • You’re a teamplayer who provides help to his teammates and asks for help when needed, you take ownership of the tasks assigned to you;
  • You are curious, motivated, dynamic, autonomous and customer-oriented;
  • You are Fluent in English. Having at least some basic knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong plus.
