Role: Functional Analyst

Locations: Brussels / Leuven BE

As a Functional Analyst you work close together with your direct colleagues in the team as well

as with people from system operations, other scrum teams, business departments and our

external ICT partners.

As a Functional Analyst, you can perform functional analyses for applications hosted on the

Mainframe, Pallas/BlueCap and AWS cloud. This means you capture business requirements and

translate these into functional /technical specifications. You propose several alternatives and

support business in choosing the best fit solution. You work closely together with the software

engineers and tech leads in your team.

In your role as Functional Analyst, you are responsible for:

- translating the needs of the end user into a functional design

- documenting process flows;

- testing software solutions

- supporting our internal clients

Preferable you have experience in the Payment domain

Role: As a Functional Analyst you work close together with your direct colleagues in the team

as well as with people from system operations, other scrum teams, business departments and

our external ICT partners.

You perform functional analyses for Payment applications, this means you capture business

requirements and translate these into functional/technical specifications. You propose several

alternatives and support business in choosing the best fit solution. You work closely together

with the software engineers in your team.

In your role as Functional Analyst:

• You are interested in the functional elaboration of solutions. You are an important key figure

between business and IT.

• You are responsible for the functional analysis of systems so that they meet the business

needs within the existing architecture and standards.

• You can challenge the requirements made by business and take them further towards the

functional analysis phase.

• You document your analysis and check the result with your internal client and then discuss

with the technical colleagues of your team. You set up functional test cases based on the

analysis and perform these to guarantee a qualitative delivery.

• Assignments are dealt with through the AGILE process in SAFe context. In short iterations

(sprints) software is delivered giving us an improved time to market. We develop, evaluate and

steer where necessary during these short cycles.

And you must be:

• Capable of setting correct priorities.

• Able to work independently.

• Eager to work with new technologies and businesses.

• Technical knowledge and be able to challenge tech leads is a plus

• We expect drive and engagement, somebody who can work in an independent way, and is

prepared to learn constantly.

• You like to take initiative, and you dare to take up responsibilities.

• You are the proud owner of a good portion of pragmatism and creativity.

• You have good analytical skills to introduce yourself quickly in the complex payment services

business and ICT processes.

• Communication is a strong competence and you like to work in a team.

• You are diplomatic, and flexible.

• You are target-driven and well organized.

• Working language is English, Dutch is a plus.
