Functional Analyst
Location: Diegem + Remote
Employment Type: Permanent

What You’ll Do
We are looking for a Functional Analyst to join our growing community of digital consultants and amazing clients.

As a Functional Analyst at Apex Consulting, you will be in charge - end-to-end - for writing and validating user stories in collaboration with our clients and/or product managers, acting as SPOC for the developers in the team and validation/testing once parts of the solution are developed.

You will be responsible for:

  • Mapping functional requirements in order to fully understand our client’s needs
  • Writing high level analyses with the appropriate level of detail
  • Translating business needs and requirements into detailed functional analysis, including user stories, mockups, etc.
  • Facilitating estimation and planning sessions together with our client’s product owners
  • Acting as spoc for all functional questions during the development process and liaising between our client’s business and IT product teams
  • Validating development by testing the functionalities as written in the user stories
  • Assuring common understanding and sharing of information on a daily basis
  • Assuring technical and functional alignment with third parties
Who You Are
You are a positive person with an open mindset and strong desire to build sustainable IT solutions for some of the greatest companies in Belgium.

Requirements:
  • You have 3+ years experience in functional or technical analysis
  • You have experience using techniques such as requirements gathering, gap analysis, impact analysis, functional analysis, writing user stories, epics, business rules, UML, definition of user acceptance criteria, evaluation of test scenarios
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You are able to explain complex IT matters to non-technical people
  • You are able to create a sense of urgency and open environment where issues can be addressed without blaming
  • You have experience working with agile development teams
  • You show responsibility for and show commitment to your work
  • You take initiative and act as a coach for less experience colleagues or team members
