As our Head of Activation you will accelerate online and offline media and activation efforts through compiling and analysis of learnings, cross-country insights and strategic assessment. As the Head of activation strategy, you will create and lead the marketing activation strategy across all channels from digital over PR, media to shopper, sampling to Experience and partnerships. You help and consult our markets in building solid plans to activate their plant-based brand campaigns.
Your umbrella overview and performance tracking of campaigns across markets lead to learnings and advise on what strategies work best and deliver on our KPI’s. You have a direct impact on the growth of our plant-based brands and will be working closely with several teams across the business: the global creative brand teams, commercial teams, local markets and other global centers of expertise on marketing and activation.
In your role as Global Head of Activation Strategy working with, communicating and consulting others is at the heart of your daily job. To be successful in the role you must be a strategic and collaborative mind who is keen to drive innovation and challenge yourself, your team, and others. You know your analytics and can draft learnings and insights from data and dashboards across the user journey
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Lead the global plant-based Activation team (3 direct reports) responsible for digital, media, data and offline strategy across all connection points
- You are the architect and brainpower behind our global plant-based activation strategy & advise local markets on best practices
- You are the sparring partner of our global creative teams & provide them with learnings, performance results and insights on what content & creatives work best. Your knowledge on user journeys and local activation insights, helps these teams build better creative marketing campaigns
- You collaborate closely with our global centers of excellence, global media & digital teams, shopper excellence team and local teams to gather insights, data, learnings and input to build connected plans that drive growth
- You create a knowledge expert center and oversee playbooks, key beliefs, user journeys, media plans and activation plans
- In collaboration with our markets, you explore and test new channels and audiences to innovate and continuously optimize performance and gather learnings
- You oversee the team responsible for data performance, tracking and dashboard and are the key lead in setting KPI’s and continuous performance optimization
About you
The ideal fit for this role would be someone with vast experience in digital and/or media, combined with sound offline experience: PR, OOH, instore, sampling, etc.. Ideally you know how to activate a brand in FMCG and you’ve built marketing activation and media plans across the funnel before. Global experience is a plus, a collaborative mindset a must.
- You hold a Master Degree or equivalent through experience
- You have at least 8 years of experience in digital, media and/or channel activation, marketing or brand management in general. Experience in an FMCG environment a plus
- It goes without saying that you are a native when it comes to connecting different activation channels both on- and offline. You enjoy sharing your digital, media and advertising knowledge with the team and can explain key principles, likewise you love to learn from others
- You have a true passion for data, insights and have strong analytical skills. You love diving into dashboards and Excel has no secrets for you. Reading about consumer trends, audience insights and the media and advertising landscape in general gives you energy
- You are digitally savvy and know a thing or two about the latest trends in MarTech.
- You dare to challenge the status quo and yourself with new learnings, facts and data and aim to continuously improve and iterate
- Co-building plans with teams and stakeholders is what gives you energy, you are collaborative by nature
- An entrepreneurial spirit, a strong sense of ownership for results, and a willingness to take the initiative to try new approaches and adapt these into everyday business
- You are a team leader and have experience in coaching people & teams
- You are fluent in English, both written and spoken
