Function

As Global Sales Manager You Are Responsible For

  • Developing and executing global sales strategies (channels, pricing, target markets,...) with a focus on strong growth of the product portfolio, in line with the Business Unit strategy.
  • Achieving the commercial objectives (volumes, margins, availability,...) according to the annual sales budget and the 5-year growth-plan.
  • Further development of the sales channels to achieve the commercial objectives.
  • Managing the sales team both in terms of results and competencies to achieve the commercial objectives.
  • Further developing a customer base and maintaining customer relationships. .
  • Discussing the evolution of the needs of the market with the Business Manager and the Product Manager.
  • Periodically preparing and updating the strategic long-term plan in consultation with the Business Manager Electronic Print and the Product Managers.
  • Accurate forecasting and correct reporting.
  • Monitoring the efficiency of the process from order to payment

Profile

  • You have a technical background (Commercial engineer, Phd, Master in Chemistry, Engineer) and are passionate by business.
  • You have experience in sales in a global B2B environment, preferably in a chemical related industry.
  • You have excellent technical skills to translate customer needs into Agfa’s products and competencies. Knowledge of the printed electronics industry is a strong plus.
  • You have experience in managing dealers and direct sales organizations
  • You can demonstrate successful experience in business development and value selling
  • You are very strong in customer prospecting; you can convert leads into contracts
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills
  • You have persuasiveness and perseverance.
  • You are strongly result-driven.
  • You are a leader and a coach
  • You have a sense of responsibility and you see ’the bigger picture’.
  • You can express yourself fluently in English
  • You are willing to travel regularly (20%).
