Global Strategic Marketing Manager Semiconductor & High Temperature
Remote (Europe/ US)

Your role as Global Strategic Marketing Manager:
This new role is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Global Segment Director in London for the Semiconductors & High Temperature business. It’s a remote working role, based in Europe or USA.
You will be responsible for coordinating the Semiconductor & High Temperature market understanding globally. This to be done by proposing and enabling strategic direction within the Semiconductor & High Temperature segment. As well as providing competitive analysis, market insights and by partnering with the segment leader to establish a strategic global market positioning.

The successful candidate has thorough experience in this specialized field and will engage with key external experts to establish deep understanding of the global Semiconductor & High Temperature market, its upcoming trends, and the key customers and competitors thoroughly. With this knowledge, the Strategic Marketing Manager will propose how Morgan should respond and make business cases for new product development endeavours, product positioning activities, technology licensing, and possible acquisitions in this space. You will be accountable for fuelling the business intelligence needed for the long-term strategy of the Semiconductor & High Temperature segment globally, building business cases to justify investments and R&D activities, and establishing our product positioning and value messaging.
This is a highly visible role with close cooperation with the Senior Management Team.

The role is part of the Semiconductor & High Temperature segment for the Electrical Carbon Global Business Unit. The Semiconductor & High Temperature market segment encompasses, but is not limited to Ion Implantation, SiC wafer production, Space vehicle launch, High Temperature insulation, Graphite specialty.

What you need to do:
  • Maps out market understanding for the Semiconductor & High Temperature global segment.
  • Gains deep insights and understanding of key application and customers to construct sound business strategy.
  • Actively builds relationships with customers and key external experts to build understanding.
  • Maps out the competitive landscape.
  • Long term strategy planning.
  • Establishes product positioning, branding strategy and value proposition, and establishes the core communication messaging. Works alongside the separate global marketing communications team who sets this message into motion.
  • Conducts VOCs and plays the role of ‘architect’ in order to design what our customers need into our products, services and offerings.
  • Explores new applications within the segment and proposes new product concepts through the stage gate process.
  • Builds go to market strategy, planning and execution in close collaboration with the Sales team for the global segment.
  • Does market research and builds market intel documentation to support strategic decisions, like CAPEX investment.
  • Uses our commercial tools such as CRM, BI QlikView, Sales Matrix, Market Maps, Negotiations and Value-Pricing tools to project long term position.
  • Partners effectively with the commercial leaders by open and transparent communication, expectation setting, common processes and review cadence: e.g. Segment leader, Global Marketing Communications, New Product Development Director.

What you need to bring:
  • Exposure to the broader Semiconductor and /or High temperature market, through direct work experiences and deep expertise in the segment.
  • 5+ years’ experience in strategic marketing, or new business development for technology companies.
  • MBA or equivalent (preferable).
  • Multilingual ability would be an advantage.
  • Management consulting experience is preferred.
