Head of People – BeNe

The HR Specialist in Belgium reports to Ester van Eupen, our Chief People Officer.

The job

We are looking for a Head of People for Spacewell Belgium and The Netherlands. You will be the Senior HR business partner for senior management in Belgium, France and Sweden and you will advise, support, coach and challenge them on HR topics like recruitment, talent management, leadership, performance and organisation development.

You will work with the HR Business partner in The Netherlands on a day to day basis, coaching and guiding her on talent and organisation related topics.

With our Chief People Officer (Ester van Eupen) and the rest of the team you will further shape Spacewell´s global people strategy and plan and ensure successful implementation within Spacewell Belgium, The Netherlands and the rest of the world.

Your responsibilities

• Modernise and refine (existing) HR policies and activities in order to achieve strategic objectives
• Manage resource allocation, recruiting and retaining high-potential talent.
• Define and implement Performance Management, Recruitment & Onboarding, Learning & Development, Engagement, and Compensation & Benefits in order to become Employer of Choice
• Oversee all aspects of total rewards, including compensation, incentive plans and benefits, to ensure the total reward programs are competitive and aligned with the business strategy and company culture.
• Work with our HR specialist in Belgium (vacancy) ensuring day to day HR administration, payroll and operations for Belgium and the Nordics runs smoothly and with the right quality

About the HR team

Twelve HR people currently drive the implementation of the people strategy and HR operations for Spacewell worldwide. Our HR team is based in Belgium (Antwerp), The Netherlands (Arnhem), Spain (Barcelona) and India (Hyderabad).

Our ideal candidate

You are passionate and driven to support shaping people processes and policies; you have excellent knowledge of and extensive experience in Belgian and/or Dutch labour law. You are willing to roll up your sleeves for our HR Agenda for the next years. You are a sparring partner and trusted advisor for the Chief People Officer and you are willing to support to shape the future HR of Spacewell. You like a challenge; love to think ‘out of the box’, and get energy from bringing HR to the next level. You like to work cross border with your HR colleagues of other countries.

What we are looking for

• A master´s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar
• A minimum of 10 years of working experience, including at least 5 years of business partnering experience in a rapidly changing environment
• Excellent communications skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
• Demonstrated capability in adapting and innovating HR practices and solutions
• A results driven personality with a roll-up your sleeves attitude that has to issue shifting from strategic objectives to hands on activities.
