Job description

Guiding and leading a team of skilled specialists

As Head of R&D you manage the overall innovation and product development portfolio within your category in line with the strategic goals and the group’s sustainability ambitions.

  • You manage and drive the different R&D projects within your dedicated category: tortillas and wraps, fried corn products like chips, taco shells and tubs as well as customer branded products in other categories.
  • You guide your team (7) to deliver the different projects meeting key KPIs on taste, product quality, sustainability and convenience for consumers.
  • As a manager, you create the required capabilities and competencies and ensure organizational development.
  • You actively monitor category specific trends within your portfolio in processes, ingredients and solutions to support the idea generation process.
  • As a member of the R&D Leadership Team, you actively take part in exploring the potential future growth areas and innovation funnel, according to Paulig Group strategy.
  • You report to the R&D Director at Paulig Group.

Profile

  • You hold a University degree in a relevant field or equivalent by experience.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a leading R&D role, preferably within the food, beverage or FMCG industry. Experience in portfolio and project management is an asset.
  • You like working in an international environment and you combine strong business acumen with a consumer and customer focused mind-set. Travelling through Europe occasionally is required.
  • You show strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills. As a people manager you coach and develop your team to reach their goals and personal development.
  • You have a passion for taste. You appreciate food and cooking.
  • You are fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
