Internship – Assistant in Supply Chain, Benelux

Education required: Currently studying in Business School or in an academic equivalent and on your way to graduate with a Bachelor or Master’s degree (preferred). Strong interest in supply chain field.
Language requirement: French and English (good knowledge). Dutch is an asset.
Start date: June/July 2023
Duration:6 months
Location - Important information regarding the place of work: Haleon Belgium will be moving into a brand-new office in Q3 2023 as part of our strategy to be more central by getting closer to Brussels and to evolve in a dynamic business environment. Located in the Zaventem well-known Corporate Village, Haleon aims to offer a more inspiring workplace where our people can benefit from many on-site facilities. But until then, we continue to operate from Wavre (Southern Brussels).
Requirements: The internship must be mandatory as part of your academic curriculum for which an agreement must be signed between Haleon, the student and the higher education institution
Compensation: internships are unpaid though Haleon provides financial support (incl. commuting expenses, temporary accommodation, and travel expenses for non Belgium-based interns). Additional information and terms & conditions will be provided at a later stage.

What will you do?
Working at Haleon for the Belgian supply chain department.
Belgian Customer Supply Chain team is the local link between the market and the area supply chain. Our job is to translate strategic & tactical commercial/marketing plans into accurate product needs so that we can request & coordinate supply accordingly. We are highlighting Belgian priorities & chasing area teams so that we can fulfill customer requests on time, in full & with the expected quality level. Locally, we are also taking care of customer orders & deliveries, following-up on 3PL performance & coordinating repack process when single units need to be specifically reconditioned before being sold. One of our critical objectives is to satisfy our customer request, following the “Right First Time” principle.
Support for the different functions in supply chain and assist them in their day-to-day tasks. These include the demand planning – in market supply, repack planner, logistics, and customer service department. Therefore, you will also collaborate with sales, Hub, Quality, Marketing, 3PL’s during your assignment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Customer Supply Chain team in daily order operations, including use of SAP.
- Run daily control reports & take action within the team accordingly.
- Manage simple claims from customers
- Once customer order flow is understood, assist IMS /Repack planners in:
. Dealing with supply coordination & OOS reporting.
. Coordinating & following up on repack production planning.
. Parallelly to CS & IMS/ Repack operations, you will assist the Demand Forecast planner in
more longer-term planning exercise, including use of APO.
