As a Java developer, you will work on our clients web services product.

You work on a project basis and focus on knowledge sharing, architecture and development. You draw up technological solutions/analyses in cooperation with your colleagues and you test your developments to ensure that they meet the customers’ needs.

You are responsible for :
  • Converting conceptual software designs into performant and qualitatively documented code in Java;
  • The integration of functional blocks into one or more applications, ensuring consistency and performance of the whole;
  • Performing testing as per worked out test plans & performing debugging where required;
  • Performing upgrades to make systems and software more performant and secure;
  • Various projects, also sometimes on the applications themselves

Profile
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in IT or are equivalent through experience;
  • Experience as a Java developer is a requirement.
  • You are versatile and a multitasker.
  • You have experience with web services and architecture.
  • Knowledge of the following topics is an asset:
    • JQuery
    • JSF (JavaServer Faces)
    • Hibernate
    • DAO (Data access object) pattern
    • Tomcat 8 / 10
    • MySQL
    • SOAP & REST web services
    • Eclipse IDE / Subversion repository / Git
  • Knowledge of COBOL is an asset but not a must. A training course will be given, practice of this language is required.
  • You are very accurate, analytically strong, stress-resistant and quality-oriented;
  • You are familiar with Project Management;
  • You are fluent in Dutch
