Role: Java Technical Lead

Location: Louvain-la-Neuve

Salary: Up to €7.500 monthly

We’re working with a fast-growing tech company based in Louvain-la-Neuve, partnering with trailblazing organisations across the MedTech, FinTech, and EdTech sectors. Currently they’re building effective digital solutions across a range of industries.

To support their next phase of growth, they’re on the hunt for a Java Lead who’s ready to take ownership of projects, improve the back-end architecture and also play a part in growing the business further.

Responsibilities:

  • Take technical ownership of backend development projects using Java (Spring Boot)
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to developers in a formal team lead role
  • Collaborate with teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and code reviews
  • Taking care of technical interviews for new employees
  • Get hands-on with front-end development when needed – especially with React or Angular
  • Drive best practices in CI/CD, testing, and agile software development

Your Profile:

  • Proven experience in Java development (Spring/Spring Boot)
  • Leadership experience or a strong desire to step into a technical leadership role
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Bonus points for experience with JavaScript, React, or Angular
  • A team-first mindset and passion for delivering quality solutions
  • Fluent in English, French a nice to have
