For the expansion of our Sales team, argenx is looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to cover the region Heidelberg - Frankfurt - Erfurt.Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
The KAM’s main responsibility is to drive the care for patients by removing the key barriers for best possible outcomes, improving patient identification, market development and territory creation in addition to developing territory specific strategic account plans for the overall product strategy in order to achieve area sales, market share and profit targets for their territory. The KAM is the first contact for health care professionals, coordinating all interactions in customer driven way.
The KAM will work in close collaboration with other functions, while ensuring full compliance with all relevant company, industry, legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
The Position Will Have The Following Key Responsibilities
- Promote safe and effective use of our product, in accordance with the product label to ensure that the benefits and long-term value of the product is fully understood
- Present a positive image of the company and develop awareness about technology platforms to relevant customer groups
- Develop, own, and drive territory and account plan, including customer targeting, in line with country strategy and in partnership with the Medical Affairs team
- Achieve pre-launch and post-launch KPIs, including sales and volume targets
- Perform detailed analysis of the assigned territory to identify, assess, and develop relevant centres for diagnosis and treatment
- Drive patient group identification, diagnosis, and referral rates by executing against a territory strategy and account specific plans
- Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of customers to ensure competitive advantage, after developing a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
- Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner by collaborating with internal stakeholders (commercial, supply chain, and compliance) and external stakeholders
- Establish and maintain contact with key customers and provide commercial and scientific services to ensure access at site of care, and that logistics are in place to administer product
- Manage and execute local meetings to drive diagnosis and treatment rates, in collaboration with the Medical Affairs Team for physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Represent the company at local and national events and congresses
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
- Timely and accurate reporting and continuous diligent maintenance of the CRM database
- Conduct all activities to highest ethical standards in accordance with country code of practice and local laws and regulations
- You have 8-10 years field experience in biotech/pharmaceuticals industry
- You have a proven track record of successful territory management
- You are passionate about rare disease with a strong drive and desire for success, result orientated
- You have experience in rare disease and a good understanding of rare disease networks
- You are aware of relevant health care policies, commercial processes, legal and compliance regulations
- You have a high degree of learning agility to learn/understand product administration and neuromuscular diseases
- You are able to deal with ambiguity, and handle risk and uncertainty
- You have a professional presence, self-confident and self-driven, with a positive attitude
- You are a connector, building relationships and partnering inside and outside the company in order to achieve the individual and team goals
- You excel in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment
- You are pragmatic, yet creative and innovative and lead while "rolling up your sleeves" to get it done
