Freelance L1/L2 Support Engineer

For a client based in St Niklaas, we are seeking a talented IT Support Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as tier 1/2 contact for all internal and external customer technical support requests, addressing issues related to computer workstation hardware and software, telephone systems, operating systems, printing, and internet access.
  • Monitor and manage tickets in the ITSM (Freshservice) system, providing timely support to customers.
  • Act as a liaison between Service Delivery and other IT functions for escalating tickets and ensuring resolution.
  • Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources for effective problem resolution.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including software installation and upgrades, hardware installation, file backups, and system/application configuration.

Your Profile:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of PC hardware installation, repair, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of ITILv3 processes; foundation certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and applications.
  • Experience with Active Directory and PC/laptop support.
  • Familiar with Windows PC hardware/software
