Your challenge

As a QA Engineer within the DevOps field you have an appetite for quality. You satisfy this appetite by automating and validating deployments of our computing tech stack. You assist in getting our software ready and robust for an infinite scalable future in the cloud.

Automation feels natural to you and you know how to leverage CI/CD to create an efficient and qualitative delivery of our software, with integrated automated test suites (performance, security, etc.). You have a drive to improve, and can inspire teams, peers and stakeholders to embrace BDD/TDD as part of the development process.

What You Will Do

  • Work in our Platform team to validate software deployments in all supported configurations, and drive automated validations and testing.
  • Work together with your QA colleagues in other (functional) agile teams
  • Apply DevOps best practices in the team’s mindset
  • Work in an agile/scrum product-driven environment, using best in class tools and technologies (Kubernetes K3s, GitHub, Azure, AWS, etc.)

Expectations

  • Analyse complex technical/specialised problems and adapt standardised solutions to these problems
  • Critically evaluate our testing strategy and work with your peers in QA towards improvements.
  • You will work with Cucumber style acceptance scenarios and assist in automating them

What You Bring Along

  • At least 5 years’ experience in software installation validation
  • Experience with Java, Python and Bash
  • Experience with a Linux/Unix command-line
  • Experience with Git and preferably GitHub Actions
  • Experience with SQL
  • Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Applied knowledge of software engineering best practices (TDD, DDD, etc.)
  • Experience with Ansible is considered an advantage
  • Having foundation level ISTQB certification or equivalent TMap certification, or willingness to obtain this within your first few months
  • You express yourself fluently in English
  • You know your way with a defect­ management tool (preferably JIRA)
  • Passionate about software development, innovation, and creative thinking
