The World Employment Confederation-Europe is offering a 6-month internship for a law student or young graduate with a legal background.
The World Employment Confederation-Europe is the voice of the recruitment and employment industry at European level. It brings together national federations from across Europe and corporations covering a wide range of HR services, including agency work, direct recruitment, career management, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and Managed Service Provision (MSP). WEC-Europe is part of the World Employment Confederation, the global professional association representing the recruitment and employment industry.
The focus of the internship will be the following:
- To work jointly with the European Public Affairs Manager on maintaining a monitoring and tracking system for current cases and recent judgements of the EU Court of Justice on temporary agency work and/or on labour market topics that could influence regulation on agency work
- To support the World Employment Confederation-Europe Head Office with legal expertise in reviewing and assessing current and recent cases and judgements of the European Court of Justice.
- To contribute to further developing the World Employment Confederation-Europe monitoring system on agency work regulation at national level (Europe and global level)
The World Employment Confederation-Europe is looking for a candidate with the following profile:
- Studies of law, with a focus on European labour law
- EU national or candidate with a valid residence and work permit for Belgium
- Fluent command of English and preferably one further European language
- Experience in setting up and maintaining a monitoring system covering labour law aspects and related EU jurisprudence
- Openness to work in an international team of the World Employment Confederation Head Office, currently comprising 7 FTEs.
The internship will be remunerated. Details on the internship contract and remuneration will be provided with the short-listed candidates in the interview phase.
