Your workplace

Our client is a global company specializing in mechanical engineering. They are looking for a designer who will work on various functions of the vehicle, such as hydraulic or electrical lines, drive lines, feeding, chopping, processing or ejection and/or general system integration work. As a designer, you will design components that meet functional performance, quality, reliability, cost and weight targets. Designers on the team are multidisciplinary, but each has a specific area of focus to act as a specialist within the team and help their colleagues.

Function
  • Working in a multidisciplinary environment within product engineering
  • Ensure close collaboration and support of the cross-functional teams, including design analysis, product validation (field test, laboratory and prototype workshop), value analysis, manufacturing, procurement and suppliers
  • Coordination and communication on a regular basis is essential
  • Perform designs for both new developments and current product improvements for performance, sustainability and cost
  • Evaluate, interpret and summarise functional test data
  • Perform market studies on existing systems
  • Own various subtasks within projects and be responsible for the proper execution, follow-up and delivery of those tasks according to project objectives
  • Active participation in design rules, FMEAs and production reviews

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent through experience
  • Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  • CAD 3D design skills (Team Center preferred
