Mechanical Design Lead – Mechelen

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Lead to drive the development of high-performance mechanical systems. In this role, you’ll lead a team of engineers, working on complex industrial installations and precision-engineered machinery for international projects.

Your Role:

  • Lead the mechanical design process, from concept to production, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers, programmers, and project teams to create fully integrated systems.
  • Oversee 3D modeling, component selection, and detailed production drawings using Siemens NX.
  • Ensure designs align with functional requirements, P&IDs, and risk analysis documentation.
  • Optimize existing designs, integrating cost-effective and innovative solutions.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing, and assembly teams to ensure seamless execution.

Your Profile:

  • Extensive experience in mechanical design for industrial machinery or complex systems.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX and experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of process engineering, materials selection, and structural analysis.
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor a team.
  • Fluent in Dutch; English and French are a plus.
