About the Company- E2 Drives is an innovative engineering company revolutionizing electric mobility. Our expertise spans mechanics, electronics, electric motor design, and embedded control systems. We have developed a disruptive and patented powertrain technology for electric bikes that combines an automatic gearbox within a powerful all-in-one solution, offering cyclists unprecedented comfort, robustness, and performance.

With our recent partnership with Decathlon, we aim to become a global leader in eBike motor technology within the next decade. We launched our first-generation motors and are currently developing our second-generation drive units. We are therefore expanding our team to ensure the continuous evolution of our products. Our team is based in Wavre, near Brussels, and consists of 25 passionate and driven professionals.

To support our growth, we are seeking a Model Based Engineer, focusing on the development of our test benches.

Your main responsibilities

  • Implement test bench control SW in Matlab/Simulink.
  • Interface sensors and actuators of the bench with the Speedgoat real time machine.
  • Design and tune the test bench controls for reliable and safe operation.
  • Design the user interface necessary to monitor and pilot the benches.
  • Design and implement a setup that allows test bench users to use the bench without the support of an operator. This involves the development of a standalone executable build from Matlab/Simulink.
  • Participate in the development of the simulations models used to pilot the bench in realistic conditions and develop the Drive Unit technology.
  • Participate in the growth of the Model Based Design core team of E2 Drives.

What is your profile?

  • You are an Electromechanical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer or Electrical Engineering.
  • You have professional experience with the Matlab/Simulink environment.
  • You have professional experience in control strategies development and signal acquisition.
  • You are very motivated by the challenge of the project.
  • You are fluent in English (French is aplus).
  • Being familiar with CAN, Serial and EtherCAT is a plus.
  • Being familiar with C and Python programming is aplus.
  • Being familiar with SQL is a plus.
