  • Contribute towards road maps for integrating existing systems and migration to the next generation application stack evaluating alternative approaches; help align architecture and design of project towards organizational and customer objectives.

  • Maintains comprehensive view of all aspects of solution management with sufficient understanding of and visibility into Infrastructure Architecture, Service Management, PMO, Support, Operations and other areas to develop solutions
  • Analyses emerging information technologies, including working to translate emerging technology implications into an effective systems engineering vision and strategy for ITS Belgium
  • Application Architect, envision technical solutions
  • Technical coaching of less experienced developers (1-3 team members)
  • Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
  • Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
  • Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
  • Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
  • Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
  • Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc. The key skills required

Multi-tier application development & design

Agile project development, methodologies & Scrum

From analysing user requirements to implementation

Able to work independently or in a team

Proven experience as software architect

Excellent Experience in software development and coding in various languages (C#, .NET, Java etc.)

Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture

Excellent knowledge of UML and other modelling methods

Excellent knowledge with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design

Excellent knowledge of UI/UX Framework Angular, others are a plus.

Understanding of software quality assurance principles

A technical mindset with great attention to detail

High quality organizational and leadership skills

Outstanding communication and presentation abilities

At least 2-3 years of experience in Technically Coaching others

Intimate understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle - both Waterfall and Agile.

Strong experience working on Software Development projects with multiple stakeholders.

Ability to work within a team environment, manage business stakeholders and independently coordinate and deliver commitments

Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and negotiate and mutually agree timescales with project managers
