Network Data Engineer
My client is looking for Network Data Engineer, and I wanted to know whether this would be of interest to you or not?
Job Title: : Network Data Engineer
Job Location: Waregem, Belgium (Hybrid)
Duration: 12+ months
Key Responsibilities-
- Responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining data networks that are critical to the organization’s operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data connectivity, security, and scalability.
- In-depth knowledge of network technologies, data management, and a strong problem-solving skillset.
- Design, implement, and maintain complex data network architectures to meet the organization’s performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Develop data integration solutions to ensure seamless data flow between various systems and locations.
- Must be strong in Configuring and managing the advanced network protocols and technologies like BGP, MPLS, VXLAN, and SD-WAN.
- Strong in Implementing and maintaining the security measures to protect the data network from potential threats, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Continuously monitor network performance and take proactive measures to optimize data transfer speeds and reduce latency.
- Provide advanced technical support for network-related issues, identify and resolve network problems, and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
- Collaborate with network equipment vendors, evaluate new technologies, and manage vendor relationships to ensure the organization has access to the latest tools and resources.
- Must have hands-on in installation/configuration of network devices like router, switches, connectivity.
- Should be experienced in Assessing the network capacity requirements and plan for future expansion based on business needs.
- Ensure network compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or specific industry requirements.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, with a focus on data networks. Relevant certifications, such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent, are preferred
- Experience with network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. Scripting or programming skills for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell)
Technical Experience:
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead technical discussions.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and others.
