EURACTIV is an independent pan-European media network (present in 13 European capitals) specialised in EU policies. We spark and nourish policy debates among stakeholders, including government, business and civil society. We cover policy processes upstream of decisions,
summarising the issues without taking sides.
EURACTIV operates a trainee scheme in Brussels providing young professionals/recent graduates graded learning in EU policies. Interns are allocated either to editorial, commercial or technical tasks, depending on availability and abilities/experience. These paid internships are for a minimum of six months, maximum of 12 months.
We are now looking for a new business support intern (in the EU Affairs Department) – Brussels

Starting date: 01/03/2022

Main responsibility:Assistance in various stages of the business development process, from generating leads to the marketing of the existing and new offerings.

Tasks:
  • Researching and generating lists of potential customers
  • Providing input for sales pitches and proposals
  • Assistance in mailings / e-mailings / presentations for clients and prospects
  • Managing and updating commercial databases
  • Market and competition analysis
  • Communication and coordination with other departments
  • General office management and other administrative tasks
Profile:
  • University education: European affairs, communications and/or business management/marketing
  • Brussels experience (traineeship at EU institution or similar)
  • Knowledge of/Interest in the “EU Affairs` market in broader sense, i.e. corporations, industry federations, civil society and consultancies
  • Excellent command of English spoken/written (and ideally French or German)
  • Digital and internet savvy
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment
  • Able to face tight deadlines
  • Proactive, flexible, detailed oriented
  • Open to new challenges and opportunities,
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team carrying out multiple tasks or projects
