Position Concept
  • ILS = International Logistics Specialist
  • Typically: works with the DuPont business units and S&L CA on Marine issues on operational performance according to agreements.
  • The main target is to extract maximum value out of the negotiated deals with logistics providers by closely monitoring KPIs and lead improvement projects with the internal clients.

Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Agrees on the targets & metrics associated with a new service request(s) together with the SBU (Internal Customer). Documents & maintains the agreements and informs the Logistic Buyer whom is buying the service(s).
  • Monitors and analyses the agreed logistics KPI’s of the logistics services providers, documents the records and makes the updated results available to the stake holders (procurement team, “right to operate” team, internal customers & management) via standard reports to be discussed during scheduled performance reviews.
  • Coordinates & reviews the investigations for the BDP logged non-conformities, including quality & response time. Puts corrective & preventive actions in place by means of action trackers to ensure effective implementation.
  • Monitors the market trends & provides guidance on logistics operations to all the stake holders (procurement team, the “right to operate” team, internal customers & management).
  • Support the logistics supplier evaluation process
  • Prepare the slides & metrics for review meetings with logistics service providers and business representatives.

Carrier KPI Review set including KPI’s on booking timeliness, OETA vs ATA, RETA vs ATA and BL Retrieval carrier. Raw data and breakdown graphs related to these KPI’s need to be send to the carrier and contract admin 1 week prior to the conference call.
  • Work independently according to given authorizations and within the defined framework of internal and external objectives /guidelines /regulations and informs supervision about unusual and exceptional cases only (escalation).
  • Interact with BU; BDP representing the voice of the customer & play a major role in future volume expectations (forecasts) from our businesses

Day-to-Day Operations

Depending on need/request daily/weekly internal meetings will be held by the BDP Resource to review the status of open export and import shipments. Actions will be taken as needed and communication with parties at the respective business contacts will be conducted in a manner agreed upon
