For the Cathodic Protection Operations Department at our offices in Anderlecht we’re looking for an Operations Engineer (m/f/x).

Job responsibilities

Your role consists of managing our installations, data analysis and process control. You provide operational support to the teams in the field and are the link between the various services such as Engineering, ICT, HSEQ, Procurement, etc. In order to manage the risks associated with the operation of our gas infrastructure in a consistent manner:

• You organise maintenance and provide support in case of technical issues. You also follow up on new developments and changes in legislation
• You coordinate the internal analyses and studies and you proactively suggest improvements in terms of processes through data mining, among other things
• You draw up procedures and instructions in the context of the continuous improvement of our processes
• You monitor the correct implementation of process improvements and ICT tools
• You manage the incident analyses together with the hierarchical line
• You support the management in drawing up the planning, validating reports, drawing up extension files, following up budgets, following up KPIs, etc.
• You represent Fluxys and actively participate in various working groups in order to build up the necessary expertise
• You provide support to the operational teams and directly supervise two technical administrative staff members
• You report directly to the head of department

About you

For this role, you have:

• A Master’s degree in industrial science (industrial engineer) or equivalent by experience
• Ideally an experience in an industrial environment. A good knowledge of electricity is essential
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to tackle a technical problem while maintaining an eye on the big picture
• Assertiveness and thoroughness. You are also solution-oriented and like to take the initiative
• Fluency in Dutch, French and English
