Main tasks:

  • Developing and coordinating the industry position on key sustainability topics (e.g. circular economy, due diligence, traceability), including preparation of briefings, position papers and communication
  • Monitoring the development of EU sustainability policies, assess the relevance for the industry; liaising with EU institutions and other relevant stakeholders
  • Communicating with EURATEX Members in the relevant sustainability areas
  • Participate in projects and initiatives to implement sustainability policies
  • Support the department Director in performing his duties

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, specifically in EU policy making
  • Strong interest in areas of sustainability and circular economy
  • Knowledge of the textiles and clothing sector will be considered an asset
  • Fluent in English; other European languages an asset.
  • Master degree in economics, law, political science, or equivalent through experience
  • Strong communication skills, sense of diplomacy, positive inter-personal skills, team player,

The successful candidate will report to the Director for Sustainable Businesses and join a small team of 3 staff. Ideally, the candidate should be available to take up this position as from 1 October.
