You will be a part of the research and development department, reporting to the Software Team Lead.You will be working in a cross-locational, agile team of QA, development & UX design who are in charge of delivering the software platform (XCD) for some of the newest generation food sorting machine in TOMRA’s portfolio.In this role, you will be responsible to create and maintain the automation infrastructure for software testing, design and define automation test cases, come with innovative solutions to automate manual procedures and foster a strong collaborative partnership with our cross-functional teams (e.g. hardware, electrical, mechanical). As part of the software platform team, you will need to ensure that the solutions proposed are scalable for our growing business requirements and that our products can be delivered with a high level of quality and efficiency.Roles And Responsibilities
  • Driving the automation test infrastructure strategy by researching into a variety of methodologies & bringing proposals for new tooling and equipment needed to enhance our automation test environment.
  • Designing the automation infrastructure for our products in collaboration with the other automation engineers, to allow the team to define new test cases in the most efficient and reliable manner.
  • Design and execute quality deliverables: automated test cases, reports, and documentation.
  • Analyse & present test results, identify technical issues and their root cause.
  • Perform statistical analysis.
  • Participate in technical meetings for requirement refinement.
  • Get hands on work experience with industrial machines.
QualificationsAbout you:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, industry engineering or another relevant field.
  • Proven experience in automation test frameworks and equipment (e.g., selenium, robot-python, hardware-in-the-loop systems, etc.).
  • Strong skills in scripting language (e.g., python, power-shell, etc.).
  • Experience with source control systems (e.g., git).
  • Ability to build clear communication channels with project stakeholders, presenting content and reporting issues.
  • An analytical & structured approach to challenges.
Nice To Have
  • Knowledge in DevOps infrastructure maintenance (e.g., team city, gitlab).
  • Knowledge of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and writing features files.
  • Experience with application life-cycle systems such as Azure Devops.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Lean development).
  • ISTQB-Foundation Level certificate.
