Allen & Overy requires high quality support for its activities and is looking to strengthen its existing Human Resources team with the recruitment of a Recruitment Coordinator.

Role purpose
As Recruitment Coordinator you will be an integral part of the recruitment team in their efforts to attract and recruit the most promising candidates in the market. The Recruitment Coordinator reports to the Head of Human Resources and the Recruitment Officer at Allen & Overy Belgium. The successful candidate will join our Brussels or Antwerp office.

Role and responsibilities
The key tasks are the following:

Recruiting tasks
  • You will be responsible for the complete recruitment of business teams and personal assistants
o You conduct the intake call with the hiring manager, draft the job description, decide on recruitment channels and agencies;
o You make a first assessment and selection as well as a shortlist of promising candidates;
o You will conduct the first stage interviews and follow up on the next steps of the process together with the hiring manager;
  • You will be in close contact with various recruitment resources (universities and selection agencies) and will be actively looking for promising candidates;
  • Together with the Recruitment Officer, you will define the strategy for both legal and business teams recruitment and work on various local and global projects (e.g. DE&I, new recruitment initiatives, etc.);
  • During the high recruitment season, you will provide support on legal graduate recruitment;
  • Together with the Recruitment Officer, you will organize the annual summer scheme (trainings, workshops, events).

Administrative/operational tasks
  • You will be responsible to organize the onboarding of all our new joiners (contracts, pre-boarding admin and training schedule);
  • You will be responsible to follow up on the interview scheduling with our international admin support teams and will maintain the tools that keep track of potential candidates;
  • You will draft and prepare offer letters to send out to selected candidates;
  • You will be responsible to organize recruitment events (Discovery Day, annual events in the US and UK);
  • You will organize and plan our attendance at job fairs (registration, goodies, stands, etc.);
  • You will create social media posts on recruitment together with our Marketing team.

Who we are looking for
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience;
  • You have a first experience in recruitment, preferably gained in a professional services industry;
  • You have an excellent command of English, French and Dutch;
  • You have a strong client focus and show discretion in dealing with sensitive information;
  • You have excellent personal time management skills and are able to meet deadlines;
  • You have solid IT skills, strong Excel skills in particular;
  • You enjoy working and contributing to a team but you are also capable of working autonomously in a highly professional environment;
  • You are flexible, accurate and proactive;
  • Experience in HR and use of digital recruitment platforms is a plus.
