This is what you’ll do:

  • In collaboration with R&D, you further develop the axial flux machine/generator concept for the new prototypes.
  • You help with the construction of the prototypes. You focus on the implementation of the design-to-manufacturing process for the series production.
  • You maintain contact with suppliers and subcontractors in the context of design, specification and qualification of components and parts.

Who are we looking for?

  • You have a master degree in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience.
  • You have at least 2 year experience with a CAD software, preferably Siemens NX.
  • You have at least 3 year of proven work experience in a design and development environment.
  • Passionate about machine design and fine mechanical assemblies.
  • Good knowledge of materials, mechanical properties and various production techniques: e.g. CNC milling/turning, injection molding, laser cutting, ...
  • Familiar with DFMEA, DfM, DfA and other quality techniques
  • Creative and good problem solving skills
  • Basic understanding of different engineering domains: mechanical calculations/FEA, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electromagnetics, electricity, ...
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • A self-motivated team player and ability to work effectively across teams
  • You speak English fluently.
