CS’s ambition is to make rail transport even more efficient with innovative technologies at all levels, having developed a unique solution portfolio across the entire life cycle of rolling stock and rail infrastructure.To strengthen our CS team, we are looking for a Sales Customer Services Railway (m/f/x). You will be responsible for the Customer Services (CS)sales process from the moment of detection of a concrete opportunity through negotiation with the customer to arriving at a deal. You ensure that you work well together with the other members of the Siemens Mobility (SMO) team (Business Developers, Other Sales from the other departments, CS colleagues, ...) and that there is a good info flow between these stakeholders. An important aspect is the preparation of bids within the framework of public tenders.Typical tasks and responsibilities:- Build and maintain client contacts - detecting needs, together with the other Business Units
- Gain technical understanding of technology and maintenance concepts.
- Acquire and distribute CS portfolio knowledge within SMO BE.
- Detecting opportunities and actively managing / following them up.
- Preparation of quotations; As part of a larger quotation (focus on the maintenance part) or as an independent quotation.
- Content ’Making nice’ of quotation, helping with portfolio, customer needs, what’s in it for the customer, ...
- Selling offers (in government tenders), game of the award criteria.
- Maintaining internal contacts both within the BE organisation and at HQ (DE)
- Help determine commercial strategy also from projects in progress.
- Experience in B2B sales, preferably with the public sector as customer/partner
- Knowledge of B2B sales principles and negotiation techniques, experience selling services is an advantage.
- Can understand and interpret (technical) documentation regarding maintenance of electro-technical systems (automation; software+hardware).
- Knowledge of railway sector is an advantage.
- Experience in a maintenance environment is an advantage.
- Good communication (spoken and written) and presentation skills.
- Good verbal communication in Dutch, French and English. Good written communication in NL and/or FR.
- Knowledge of German is an advantage.
- Customer orientation with necessary sense of reality.
- Out of the box thinking.
- Being a ’puller’, being driven, taking initiative.
- Can live with not having immediate success.
- Output-oriented.
- No hard-selling style.
