In the exciting position as a Senior Data Science Project Manager you bring your knowledge and proven data science experience to address novel challenges that arise in our R&D and production facilities. You develop deep understanding of processes, technology and business challenges. You propose new projects and contribute to the definition of a program strategy that supports the long-term sustainability of our company. As part of a cross-functional team, you work closely together with the production units on site to analyse bottlenecks, address inefficiencies and ensure the implementation of digitalization projects. You will furthermore develop innovative ways to apply data science and machine learning in an industrial context and advise others on the implementation of effective approaches.

As a Senior Data Science Project Manager, you will…

• implement and handle one or more digitalization projects in all their aspects (definition, budget, communication, implementation and follow-up)


• understand, prioritize and tackle critical technical challenges through the application of ground breaking artificial intelligence


• provide technological foresight and identify relevant technology suppliers


• contribute to the definition of a digitalization program strategy that will yield business benefits


• be involved in the IP strategy for the assigned projects


• raise awareness at all levels of the organization by optimally communicating project outcomes and actively participating in user communities

• holds a degree in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics or applied economics with relevant data science specialization (PhD preferred)


• has a solid understanding of data science, including data engineering, machine learning, and statistics


• has 4 years of experience as project/program manager in an industrial environment


• has good project, people and team leadership skills


• sets the right priorities, solves problems and makes choices


• is a good networker and has good influencing and business analytics skills


• has good oral and written English communication skills. Dutch, French, German, Korean, Japanese, Chinese capabilities are an asset
