Context

Within our business unit Degroof Petercam Asset Management,we are passionate about managing funds and exercising mandates on behalf of institutional end-investors as well as distribution partners (private banks, insurance companies and retail networks). Currently we are looking for a Senior Fund Manager US Equities to reinforce our teams.

Your Position

As One Of The US Equity Team You Will Help Manage a Range Of US Equity Funds And Mandates With The Aim Of Realizing Strong Consistent Investment Returns On Risk-adjusted Measures
  • Contribute to the development of the US equity team members’ knowledge and processes.
  • Develop, analyse and implement (new) investment ideas (e.g. assets selection, portfolio construction, reporting and monitoring tools).
  • Close collaboration and interaction with the other teams within the asset management company (portfolio managers, analysts) as well as funds’ sales teams, risk managers, reporting & RFP’s officers.
  • Do your fair share of research by reading financial reports, examining the markets and attending conferences, field trips, … to make sure that you keep on top of everything
  • Create reports/presentations on investment performance and activity. Communicate with clients about portfolios, market conditions and economic trends and support sales teams in commercial activities with regard to funds under management (presentations, roadshows, RFP, …)

Your Profile
  • Master degree (e.g. Finance or economics) with a demonstrated track record in asset management.
  • High interest and enthusiastic about financial markets and good understanding of financial economics & global macro, portfolio management and support.
  • Expertise in alpha generation, portfolio construction, optimization, risk management, trade execution and Portfolio Management.
  • Good knowledge of US Equities along with desire and ability to rapidly learn.
  • Eager to continuously learn, strong analytical skills, pay attention to detail and precision, processes and data savvy
  • Team player with an entrepreneurial attitude and high ethical standards
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of portfolio management support solutions such as Factset or Bloomberg AIM is a plus
  • Language skills : Dutch, French and English
