SENIOR MANAGER, INTEGRATED BUSINESS PLANNING (M/F/D)

Planning is one of the critical foundational pillars identified by JnJ Supply Chain strategy (JJSC) that is critical to building the worlds’ best supply chain. Planning forms a pivotal role in the synchronization of our E2E Supply Chain to meet our customer demands efficiently and to drive profitable growth as well as improving our cashflow through optimizing our working capital. At the same time, we need to ensure that we are anticipating the future trends and game-changers and building capabilities to demonstrate and take advantage of these being agile enough to ensure we adapt and bring value to business.

The End-To-End Orchestration & Operating System (E2E O&OS) team sits within the broader JJSC Strategy, Innovation & Deployment (SI&D) organisation and works closely with Planning, Product Supply, Value Chain and the Digital team. Part of the E2E O&OS Team, the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) team owns the strategic direction of JnJ Enterprise Planning on the S&OP to IBP roadmap. The Enterprise IBP team develops existing capabilities and processes, bringing new innovative capabilities as well as leading cultural change to embed IBP throughout the Enterprise. The scope covers all three JnJ segments (Medical Devices, Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical).

As part of the Enterprise IBP team, the Senior Manager, Integrated Business Planning will be designing and deploying IBP standards within the defined areas of scope across the enterprise, considering JnJ current maturity and business ongoing changes. Furthermore the incumbent in this role will be working with Commercial and Finance teams to ensure robust and standard translation of operational unit forecast to financial forecast (volume-to-value conversion) and visa versa to ensure a robust dialogue within the IBP cycles.

YOURresponsibilities & YOUR impact:

  • Design and continuously improve IBP standards for the enterprise and ensure process adherence, standardisation, governance, assessment and training.
  • Align with Sector Commercial and Supply Chain Finance on processes to accurately interpret volume and value forecasts.
  • Act as key Enterprise IBP partner for the SigniFi-Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Program and co-lead the EPM-IBP workstream and deployment.
  • Work with Planning, Commercial and Finance teams on process improvement and system deployment projects to streamline and support IBP process.
  • Support and Co-Develop End-To-End Gross Profit improvement efforts through IBP.
  • Support Inventory Director on key inventory valuation initiatives including SLOB processes.
  • Support standards on all financial elements feeding the IBP process.
  • Support cross functional team in any Sector to implement IBP.
  • Understand organisational and business changes across sectors and functions, that would trigger IBP redesign.
  • Establish effective communications and goals & objectives for IBP across J&J businesses.

This position will work closely with various stakeholders including but not limited to:

  • Sector leaders of the Plan function at the VP, Director and other levels of the organization
  • Key Stakeholders across Commercial and Supply Chain Finance as well as SigniFi-Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) Program
  • IT and Digital teams
  • IBP Leaders in the sectors and all geographies
  • Enterprise Plan Capability Excellence Leads

Qualifications


We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:

Education:

  • Advanced degree preferred, preferably in MBA, Finance
  • Certification in Data Analytics preferred

Experience:

  • 7+ years of related Supply Chain and Finance / Commercial experience.
  • Strong background / experience in S&OP/IBP and also Supply Chain Finance
  • Experience with business planning particularly around forecast processes
  • Proven track record in data analytics, advanced financial planning
  • Relevant mix of global, regional, cross-sector / cross-industry experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Deep knowledge of cross-functional processes and supporting technologies as well as linkage to Supply Chain
  • Strong business acumen – Understands the business; portfolio, markets, customers, challenges, demands.
  • Influence at all levels within the Supply Chain, Commercial, Finance & other key cross functional partners, in a matrix environment and externally.
  • Build strong collaborative teams and relationships, leading cross functional/ virtual teams where required.
  • Communicate and present clearly, making the complex clear and compelling to all levels of the organization in both written & oral forms.
  • Drive & apply continuous process improvement tools and improvements to large and complex projects.
