Are you energized by a highly technical quality assurance role that allows you to accelerate compliance and mitigate risk in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environment? If so, this Senior Manager, Quality Governance and strategy role could be an exciting opportunity to explore.
As a Senior Manager, Quality Governance and strategy, you will be responsible for management of Quality Governance Process which are used by all Vaccines sites and throughout the Vaccines business.
Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following
- Global System Owner for Management Review by Quality Councils and Quality Plan (defining system/ process / procedure, deployment throughout Vaccines business, monitoring to ensure the quality councils are designed and operated to effectively oversee the operations, and continuous improvement, global expert to build capability and maintain a network of Quality Systems Owners across GSK Vaccines to share learnings).
- Responsible for Quality Strategy Execution (YOP and Quality Plan).
- In partnership with QLT, supports implementation and execution of the Quality Strategy within the different Quality groups. Facilitates strategy deployment meetings, workshops and projects. Supports setting of annual goals.
- Drive the lifecycle of the YOP within Quality: data collection, populate the tool, assess the health of program / project, oversight on monthly follow-up and quarterly update.
- Drive the lifecycle yearly Quality Plan: data collection, progress reports, risks and mitigation plans, oversee monthly follow-up and quarterly update. Responsible of monitoring, escalation and reporting status updates to management on a regular basis.
- Support project management/monitoring system as appropriate.
- Support various teams, task forces and projects as defined by QLT.
- Responsible for the preparation, organization and follow-up activities of the VPQB meetings, including agenda preparation, organization of pre-reads, generation of meeting minutes and tracking of follow-up activities and its related communication by supporting the VPQB chair and secretary.
- Responsible for cascade of information from the Governance bodies to the organization. Ensure communication through the appropriate channels within the mapped Governance processes.
- Ensure the link and smooth collaboration with the following process is in place and in use through GSK Vaccines: Quality Escalation
- Responsible for Global Process to perform System Effectiveness Reviews and related oversight by the VPQB
- Responsible for Vaccines Quality KPIs – reporting to Corporate and VPQB, providing input to selection and definition of KPIs
Why you?
Basic Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/Biological environment covering various areas: QA (including quality systems and quality governance), R&D, production, QC and project management roles.
- Good understanding of the manufacture and control for bulk vaccines, formulation, filling, packaging and distribution of final vaccine products.
- Ability to operate in a very complex Quality environment across multiple countries, aligning the operations architecture to business needs and to successfully interact with stakeholders throughout the GSK organization.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and to work under pressure in a changing environment - must be able to Self-manage and Self-organize work activity and have good project management skills.
- Ability to report key messages to management and to prioritize (good sense of urgency).
- Fluent English (spoken and written)

- Ability to manage networks and build relationships transversally across the Vaccines network.
- Strong ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization up to senior management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to contribute to process and system optimisation, standardisation, harmonisation, and continuous improvement.
