Prophix is experiencing immense growth and we are expanding our European presales team! The team works closely with innovative companies interested in leveraging Prophix’ market leading Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution.

A Presales Consultant is a dynamic individual who has a strong desire to learn and solve problems creatively and quickly. The position will report to the Presales Manager Europe within the Global Solution Engineering department and will work extensively with various internal and external clients.

Depending on your location you will be offered the opportunity to work from our local office, remotely, or a combination of both/hybrid. We have invested in best-in-class tools, technology, and culture to ensure our team members are able to do their best work.

What You Will Do at Prophix

• You will use your knowledge, comprehension, and presentation skills to influence customer decisions, provide insightful solutions, and drive successful implementations. Be ready to hit the ground running with your strong technical abilities, critical and creative thinking, and passion for fast-paced problem solving.
• Assist Prophix’ sales, business development and marketing teams as the subject matter expert for Prophix’ Corporate Performance Management (CPM) solution
• Use market and technical knowledge to consult on best practices and provide direction to customers / prospects on how they can achieve their goals & objectives with Prophix’ software and services
• Lead discussions in the areas of Corporate Performance Management (CPM), Financial Consolidations, Extract Transform and Load (ETL), Databases, and Cloud Architecture - gaining confidence and mindshare within accounts & opportunities
• Create tailored presentations, demonstrations and proof of concepts showcasing our product to help execute on the technical aspects of the account strategy
• Communicate customer’s business and technical requirements to our Professional Services team to ensure a smooth transition to post-sales
• Act as a consultant and advisor bringing a customer facing perspective to internal teams and convey feedback to product management, product marketing and research & development teams

Required Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Post-Secondary Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Finance related fields
• Academic or practical knowledge of financial modelling and reporting (financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, consolidations, and group reporting)
• Minimum 2 years of consulting, implementation services, business / systems analyst, pre-sales and / or financial systems experience
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technology, its benefits, and how it can be leveraged to achieve business goals & objectives
• Able to clearly articulate concepts and business benefits to technical and non-technical audiences
• In-depth knowledge of Excel is a plus
• Must be legally entitled to work in the country where the role is located. Must be able to travel to the United States, Canada and/or internationally, and have a valid passport
• Willingness to travel within the region or internationally (occasionally).
• Fluency in Dutch and English is required (additional European languages are a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with CPM, EPM, BI, DWH solutions.
• Deep understanding of Relational (RDBMS / OLTP) and Multi-Dimensional Databases (OLAP)
• Practical experience with SQL, MDX, and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes
• Broad understanding of Enterprise and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) architectures
• Confidence and ability to converse with different levels of an organization, including C-Level
• Gather and understand business requirements, current challenges and propose solutions
• Natural presenter with great interpersonal skills and comfortable in the spotlight
• You have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy researching and uncovering solutions to problems
• Excellent oral and written communication
