Job Summary:

Do you have experience in procurement and knowledge of sustainable products? As Sourcing & Procurement Specialist at deSter you will have an opportunity to develop sustainable and fiber-based product category in the European market. You will be involved in implementation of the category strategy, supplier relationship management, product development, handling RFI/RFQ/RFP and tenders, contract negotiations and more. Reporting directly to the Procurement Director, you will have direct impact on the development of deSter in this relatively new category and company’s sustainability strategy.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop the supplier portfolio for sustainable and fiber-based products to enable a competitive, qualitative & timely response to the customer market
• Implement Global Procurement Strategy within the European region in alignment with company policy, procedures and the relevant interfaces
• Manage product/specification development process to ensure competitive cost position is maintained
• Proactively develop procedures to reduce procurement and business risks
• Lead and manage through corrective action any quality issues that arise for assigned sub-categories acting as key point of contact with supplier and settling claims & improvement plans as appropriate
• Manage & implement process optimization improvement initiatives within the supply base and product development projects for new and customized designed equipment lines to deliver new, competitive product to market
• Work collaboratively with the procurement team and internal clients to ensure the delivery of a high quality, compliant, cost focused procurement process
• Maintain data and report progress for sustainable & fiber-based product category

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain or related disciplines
• 3+ years of relevant (international) procurement and sourcing experience
• Experience on handling fiber-based and other sustainable products (or relevant products knowledge) and sourcing new vendors in different countries
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, proactive, flexible, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure
• Customer-focused and ready to go an extra mile to solve any problem
• Fluent in English, any other language is a plus
• Open to travelling to build relationships with suppliers
