DESCRIPTION - Important
• Occasional travel to sites in Europe will be required.
• Preferred location is Belgium (3d/week onsite) or Germany (3d/week onsite in Essen region, other regions will be home office).
• Excellent proficiency in English. is a must. Knowledge of German is a plus
• proven experience as Project Manager is a must.
Position
Our client is growing through acquisitions. In the last year we acquired 25+ companies of different size. We would like to integrate those companies in our IT landscape, bring their IT infrastructure to the company standard and integrate them in our central IT support organization.
In the project you will act as Sr Project Manager IT Integration for Merger & Acquisitions, within the EMEA IT Service Delivery Team for companies located in Germany/Europe.
Experience
+ 5 years of experience working for a large company
Your responsibilities will include:
• Partner with stakeholders to understand the objectives associated with a project and to ensure requirements are properly documented.
• Take ownership and actively manage the project throughout its entire lifecycle following standard project management processes and methodologies.
• Engage all different IT Services areas involved (regionally and globally) to ensure the best solution is put forward and appropriate resources are assigned.
• Communicate status of the projects to key stakeholders on a regular basis and with total transparency. Make sure risks are proactively identified, documented and mitigated throughout the life of the project.
• Promote the use of good project management practices not just by “leading by example” but also by playing consulting or trainer roles to any organization that might require support with their own projects or project management processes.
• Contribute, in cooperation with other Project Managers, to the continuous improvement of standard project management processes and tools.
• Partner with other service teams and third-party vendors, sometimes in close cooperation with Strategic Sourcing.
You will be part of the Merger & Acquisition project team and report to the regional IT Services Delivery Manager EMEA.
Experience
• Extended experience of successfully managing technical IT projects, with a proven record in Project management for IT Integrations.
• In-depth experience with O365
• Proven track record of cultural awareness while collaborating with your peers in the other regions.
• Experience in effectively managing, motivating and empowering people
• Strong business acumen and internal knowledge of policies.
• Comfortable with working in a highly matrix global environment
• Ability to implement standards and operating metrics.
Knowledge
You have a broad knowledge that can be used to find the right end to end solution for the acquired company or to bring the acquired company to a supported setup. You’ll manage teams of architects & specialists.
You have a general knowledge in multiple of the following domains :
• Server Hosting technology
• Network technologies including
• Active Directory
• End user computing
• Some experience of typical ‘small / medium’ business network setups and typical applications.
• experience in ServiceNow.
Educational Requirements
• Higher education or equivalent experience
• You are passionate about technology and more specific technologies around network
• Fluency in English, spoken and written is a must
• ITIL Certification
• Technology certifications are a plus
• Project Management certifications are a plus
