Global Technology & Engineering Europe team is opening a contractor position for a Senior Technical Project Manager to manage complex technology innovation projects and innovation initiatives in the Sterile Injectable Drug Product portfolio of Pfizer Global Supply starting from pre-proof-of-concept phase to implementation at multiple PGS sites.The Sr Technical Project Manager will manage the daily operations of the global project team and drive the realization of projects alongside the technical project lead for a number of transformational projects within our Technology Innovation portfolio that will advance breakthroughs that change patients lives. Manages full project cycle from initiation and planning to execution and closing phases using Agile Project Management tools to ensure deliverables are achieved on or ahead of schedule with quality that meets or exceeds business needs. Uses leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and influence for high team performance and to develop the project plan while ensuring team member and stakeholder engagement and alignment, re-evaluation and adjustment of project plan when needed. Works closely with the Innovation Team lead and interfaces with various departments, development organizations and key business partners to realize complex and transformational innovation projects.
This position requires advanced technical knowledge of sterile injectable drug product manufacturing processes (compounding, fill/finish, primary & secondary packaging, visual inspection, lyophilization, cleaning, sterilization, etc.) and products (small molecule, biologics, vaccines), and regulatory and compliance requirements around aseptic manufacturing.
Project Coordination:
- Defines project scope & deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with the technical project lead and stakeholders.
- Manages development of project schedule, including key milestones, critical path and related interdependencies using appropriate tools.
- Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization, including senior internal and/or external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between organizations.
- Foreacasts and plans resource requirements (people, finance and technology) for projects. Communicates project requirements and milestones clearly to enable project resource forecasts and planning in other departments.
- Leads and facilitates the identification of operation and project issues and risks and drives resolution, effectively documenting decisioons / rationale.
- Tracks milestone achievement, decision points and prepares governance presentations to support decision making and prioritization.
- Effectively communicates project plan, expectations, issues and mitigation strategies to project team, managers, and stakeholders, as needed.
- Comes up with creative and innovative solutions to problems and encourages team members to think expansively.
- Facilitates development of innovative, advanced and/or disruptive new concepts that improve or transform processes and/or products across own and related disciplines.
- Conducts lessons learned and after-action reviews.
- Manages or participates in innovation-related initiatives to develop best practices or to support operational imperatives.
- Acts as a catalyst to enable transformational innovation within the organization.
- Keeps up with the latest technologies and trends within the field of manufacturing of sterile injectables.
- Facilitates collaboration for innovation and technical knowledge sharing within the Pfizer network and outside the organization.

- Knowledge in GMP and broad knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes is essential.
- Excellent teamwork, and ability to navigate in different areas and work with multidisciplinary teams. Comfortable to work in multi-functional and multi-cultural environments.
- Flexibility, ability to deal with ambiguity, and sense of personal ownership of deliverables and results are expected.
- Masters or Bachelors in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Pharmaceutical preferred) or in Life Sciences
- 8+ years of industry experience
- Fluent in English, excellent communications skills
- Practical knowledge of Dutch is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects with multi-disciplinary teams through project completion
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives
- Knowledge of cGMP requirements and compliance
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent Program management skills
- Certified PMP and/or knowlegde of Agile Framework is a plus
- Operations or Tech services experience is a plus
- Good technical knowledge about:
- Sterile injectable drug product manufacturing processes (compounding, fill/finish, primary & secondary packaging, visual inspection, lyophilization, cleaning, sterilization, etc.)
- Regulatory (FDA/EU) and compliance requirements around cGMP and aseptic manufacturing (pharmaceutical).
