System Engineer (Linux & Windows)

As an ICT Administrator, you manage and monitor applications, network and storage. You ensure that hardware and software are working to produce the highest level user experience. You perform technical work installing, operating and providing support for local and corporate networks, personal computers, storage and the PBX. Your work is performed under the general direction of the Finalyse Partner in charge of ICT Support.

Finalyse will enter a modernization and simplification phase of its infrastructure, a very challenging situation and interesting projects to come!

• You participate in the daily operations of IT infrastructure
• You support, design, maintain and evaluate computer networking along with telecommunication systems
• You install, configure and maintain physical servers and virtual computer servers
• You manage all network servers and other network components including installation, configuration and maintenance
• You develop and maintain network security procedures: you add, remove, and change authorities for network users
• You monitor storage capacity at group level and you implement back-up procedures
• You resolve problems reported by end users for local and corporate network, personal computers and networking equipment (switches, routers, etc.) and you provides answers to complex questions related to these systems
• You monitor and measure the performance of the IT infrastructure and report problems timely and adequately
• You plan and oversee system replacements and upgrades
• You maintain documentation of the ICT infrastructure
• You deploy corporate applications and updates thereof
• You assist the other members of the IT department in the daily support at the group level

Your profile

• 
  You have a proven expertise in the operations and support of personal computers and local area networks
• You master standard networking protocols, LAN and WAN products and protocols
• You are proficient in managing both Linux as well as Windows operating systems
• You are able to communicate in English language both verbally and in writing (B2 Level minimum)
• You are able to analyse and troubleshoot technical and computer-related problems
• You are customer minded and passionate about technical matters
• You are problem solver with strong analytical skills
• You are a good team player, who is both flexible and adaptable under pressure and you are able to build and maintain good working relationships
• You are disciplined, methodical and autonomous
• You are willing to travel as required

Education and qualifications

• 
  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science or related area
• Technical Skills: ESX’s (VMWare), Server or workstations Hardware
• At least 5 years of experience in ICT Systems administration
• Technical skills OS: Linux (Debian, Oracle), Windows Server
• Technical skills Networking: Network, FortiGate, Switching, Wi-fi
• Technical skills Storage : SAN, NAS, Security
• Technical skills Web Applications Platforms: Apache, Tomcat
• Technical skills Backup Applications: Veeam backup & Replication
• Technical skills Office Applications: Office365, AD, Exchange, Azure AD Identity
• Nice to have VOIP: Asterisk, Xivo, Aastra, Snom
