Based in Gosselies, the mission of Catalent Cell and Gene Therapy is to deliver optimized process industrialization capacities to cell therapy organizations, and speed up the arrival of their therapies onto the market. To support its grow, Catalent is hiring a Training Design Manager,you will be responsible for the optimization of the learning experience of employees and ensure knowledge is transferred the appropriate way in order to ensure training enables all employees to perform their roles in a compliance, confident, and capable manner.

This position evaluates the training need, proposes the best-in-class training strategy and associated technology as well as overseeing the development of the final training solution in order to enhance competency of employees.

The scope of this position is primarily for Biomodalities sites in Europe with collaboration and partnership with colleagues in other regions to support global initiatives.

This position reports to the Training Director EU

The Role

  • Design and implementation of training strategy(e.g. online, video, in-person, virtual, hands-on) ensuring the optimized approach for knowledge retention and capability building in the most efficient and cost-effective manner

  • Optimize training methods by elaborating new innovative training programs leading to effective ways to competency

  • Expert on training methodologies and guide and advise on the use of them according to the training need

  • Support and coach trainers to design effective trainings

  • Support the organization to deploy new learning approaches and technologies regarding Training Design and delivery

  • Identify opportunities to convert ILT trainings to other Training solution technology

  • Analyze training needs and design new knowledge transfer methodologies

  • Introduce Learning4.0 technologies that is namelyvirtual/augmented realities, videos, gamification

  • Define, resource and deliver training programs that advance our ambition to transform training into knowledge

  • Define and implement a training need analysis process

  • Identify competency gaps and provide solutions to address them

  • Provide strategic direction regarding training design

  • Creative and innovative thinking

  • Partner as an active member in Catalent Learning community to share best practices in training material design related matters

  • Provide strategic direction regarding training design

  • Be a change agent and ambassador of learning culture

  • Responsible for leading best in class training design strategies

  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement initiatives/projects

  • Support the implementation of new learning design technologies

  • Ensure implementation of supportive tools associated to learning activities towards digitalization

  • Be a change agent and ambassador of learning culture

  • Create enthusiasm to ensure end user participation

  • Actively participate in training activities

  • Influence and connect cross-functional teams of learners and leaders

The Candidate

  • Enjoy thinking outside of the box and coming up with innovative and creative client solutions

  • Innovative training design experience

  • University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field

  • At least 5+ years in training including training design

  • Experience with training in a complex corporate environment

  • Strategical and technical experience in training design and delivery

  • Forward-looking mindset and experience in challenging people to look beyond the current AS-IS situation in the direction of a desired future state

  • Robust experience with Learning environment.

  • Must be team-oriented (proactively builds healthy working relationships between peers, their department and other groups)

  • Excellent eye for the people impact of disrupting technologies

  • Strong knowledge and experience working under the requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for pharmaceuticals and biologics preferred

  • Actively pursues learning of required skills, new skills, and new equipment.

  • Ability to work productively in a business that inherently has high levels of complexity

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to think strategically and dive into the details when needed

  • Fluent in English and French
