Your Role

For our new site in Tessenderlo, we are looking for a motivated Supervisor to manage a team in the warehouse. This position is organized on shifts (6am-2 pm / 2-10pm).

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading and securing the operation and coaching and directing the team leaders in the daily warehouse activities and ensuring that they achieve the pre-set target in terms of productivity, safety and quality.
  • Directing the operation, setting clear targets and conducting daily consultations, evaluations, training sessions, workplace accident analyses, sickness absence interviews, etc.
  • Cooperating with the planning department, fellow supervisors, operations manager and various internal support services to achieve optimal operations.
  • Participate in a driven team with a culture of continuous improvement. After your yellow belt training, you will be responsible for leading and implementing improvement projects and applying the 5S methodology.
  • Make sure that safety rules are followed through regular safety rounds, analyses of workplace accidents, passing on safety topics to make our employees more proactive in contributing to a strong safety policy.

Your Skills And Experiences

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree (Logistics, Transport, Engineering, Business Administration, etc.),
  • Proven experience in logistics 3PL, transportation, industry or manufacturing envirronement. Experience in automated warehouse/production floor would be a plus,
  • First managerial/leadership experience,
  • Solution-oriented and a good team player,
  • Knowledge of MS office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), experience in creating reports,
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
