Job Purpose and Impact

The world of Gourmet Chocolate and decorations has become increasingly digital and rife with creative online business solutions. The Digital Marketing Specialist will help turn Gourmet’s digital properties into meaningful experiences for audiences with the goal to grow engagement, affinity, good will and advocacy for the company. The successful candidate will manage our digital assets and websites: Veliche, Leman, Smet and House of Chocolate to ensure we develop and execute the right digital plans for our gourmet brands. We seek a professional digital marketeer who is comfortable with being both a creative and a thorough digital marketeer driving implementation on a granular level. In collaboration with the Commercial Marketing Lead and Marketing Managers, the successful candidate will:

Key Accountabilities
  • Execute digital projects and continuous improvement activities. Manage, migrate and improve content, build digital experiences within content management activities related to our Leman, Veliche, Smet and House of Chocolate websites, as well as newsletters, corporate intranet and email platforms
  • In collaboration with the Marketing Manager Decorations, co-develop digital marketing plans for Leman and Smet and manage the social media platforms of Leman
  • Identify and execute best practices related to user experience design, search engine optimization, accessibility and other digital standards for all gourmet owned websites
  • Adhere to company standards and best practices while providing reporting and analytics providing insights for business strategy
  • Monitor a central inbox for requests related to the Leman website and webshop, update the website with seasonal catalogues, articles, references and images
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Good understanding of communications channels and content management
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in using digital communications platforms such Adobe Experience Manager, Oracle Webcenter Sites, Modern SharePoint, Poppulo, ExactTarget
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and other digital marketing metrics
  • Experience as part of a digital marketing team within a corporation or as part of an agency
  • A flair for content development and target audience insight generation
  • Dutch/French speaker
  • Ability to collaborate with and guide a graphic team on content/material development
  • Energizer
