The Digital Tribe reports directly to the CEO and is one of the drivers of change and innovation within AlphaCredit. As Product Development Manager you’ll be one of the key members of this Digital team with focus on making the products and services of the organization ‘future proof’.

As Product Development Manager you are responsible for the development and optimization of the products and services portfolio, as well as the related payment methods. Based on market conditions, competitor analyses, technology- and regulatory evolutions you create and develop an integrated plan/roadmap for development of future products and services. You’ll present this roadmap as well as individual product development initiatives to your management. As ‘owner’ of this roadmap you’ll then be responsible for its implementation for which you’ll be working with various transversal, agile teams from around the organisation, as well as with external partners on a need-be basis. You’ll also be analyzing customer experience of launched products in order to bring continuous improvements. You’ll report to the Digital Tribe Lead.



Your main focus areas:

Product Roadmap

  • Identify new product/service opportunities that are in line with the overall company strategy and based on market- and competitor intelligence, technology evolutions…, in Belgium and abroad;
  • Define the 18-month product development plan (roadmap) with input from Sales and Marketing.
  • Define the products/services and build the Business Case for each of the new opportunities;
  • Present the Roadmap as well as specific opportunities to your management to obtain their approval;
  • Continuously monitor the progress of plans against actual delivery.

Product Development / Project Management

  • Define the detailed product/service description;
  • Apply a pragmatic project management approach per product development stream;
  • Identify virtual team members that are colleagues from around the organisation (IT, customer service, sales, finance) as well as from external partners on a ‘need be’ basis;
  • Allocate ‘owners’ of different work streams (including yourself for specific deliverables), and coordinate and follow up the evolution of these deliverables. Organize regular and effective review meetings;
  • Organize testing of both individual processes as well as the integrated service proposition;
  • You are end-responsible for the successful implementation of these new products and services.

In-life Management

  • Guarantee the permanent suitability of the offer (product characteristics, etc.), by integrating the omnichannel strategy and taking into account customer needs and changes in the environment (legal, compliance, competition, etc.);
  • Constantly update and deepen your knowledge and understanding of the market (monitoring trends, new technologies, activity and initiatives of competitors, etc.).
  • Make sure that positioning-, commercial- and profitability objectives are met.

What we are looking for...

As ideal candidate you have the following profile:

  • Master degree or equivalent through experience;
  • Minimum 3 - 8 years of relevant professional experience in project management and/or product development of digital solutions in a service sector (Finance, Telecom, IT…)
  • You have worked in a mass market context, either B2C and/or small SME;
  • Background in the agile way of working when managing projects is a very nice to have;
  • Very good knowledge of Dutch or French and are at ease in English;
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.

  • A team player, relationship builder and good communicator who listens and can work well with both colleagues and external partners;
  • Flexible and enthusiastic to be able to adapt to change, and to identify opportunities within such changing context.
