Your new role

This position is primarily responsible for planning and directing activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality, environmental, and health and safety standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties personally or through their team. This will include directing activities locally at the Zaventem, Belgium manufacturing plant as well as globally throughout the ADB Safegate organization.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary processes related to QHSE systems are properly implemented and maintained.
• Oversee audits, assessments, and preparation of management reviews based on the mandatory elements of the management systems (ISO 9001 14001 27001 and 45001).
• Develop, monitor, and analyze quality metrics throughout the value chain to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service.
• Provide technical, data analysis, and root cause analysis expertise to teams.
• Lead global teams to co-develop and implement best practices.
• Support functional and business line leaders in developing strategies to correct short term quality issues and make long term systemic improvements.
• Develop, execute, and analyze quality reporting measures and suggest actions based on collected data. Report to management on quality issues and trends.
• Produce monthly KPI reports with suggested improvement actions based on results.
• Coordinate reviews, analysis, corrective actions, and responses to customer complaints about product quality.
• Ensure that the management systems are in accordance with ISO 9001/14001/27001/45001 and maintain certification.
• Oversee product certification for business fields (e.g. FAA/ICAO/STAC-local certifications) & regulatory/legal (e.g. CE/IEC).

Your skills & qualifications

• 10 years of experience working within a manufacturing facility
• 8+ years of experience working in a Quality function (supplier quality experience is a plus)
• 5 years of experience supervising or managing people
• Quality systems expertise in ISO 9001
• Expertise in root cause problem solving and corrective action (8D, PDCA, 5 Why, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience with APQP
• Possess a strong business acumen on a broad range of business functions and processes, including product development, manufacturing, sales & marketing, finance, and customer service
• Thorough working knowledge of data analysis including statistics
• Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to customers and/or other ADB Safegate locations.
