And that’s the kind of work we want to be part of.In our Site in Verviers, Belgium | Lonza we are looking for a Distribution manager (f/m/d) to be r esponsible for the daily management of operations and personnel in the Receiving and Shipping activities including internal and external warehouses.Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all shipping areas are operated in a safe, cGMP manner at all times and that external warehouses are operating as per their qualified certification.
  • Ensure all related SOPs are updated promptly to reflect current practices.
  • Oversee daily area operations and ensure smooth workflow including external warehouses
  • Closely collaborate with Logistics Global Category Manager when contract or pricing negotiations are required for external warehouses
  • Create and post internal KPI’s in respected areas to show team their performance and goals and ensure external warehouses provide KPIs in order to monitor their activities
  • Partner with Logistics Manager on monitoring of 3PL for handling inbound and outbound areas for improvement, along with other transportation topics.
  • Actively develops direct reports, including cross training
Key Requirements
  • Degree (required)* Supply Chain or Logistics
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Dutch is big plus.
  • Experience using ERP
  • Leadership
  • Excellent communication skills , responsibility, highly committed, organized, team work abilities, fast learning
