Overview

The E&I Drafter is an employee responsible to issue the E&I drawings (mainly wiring diagrams, instrumentation hookups, control and power cabinets drawings…) of products of the Energy Sector of John Cockerill, mainly HRSG and industrial boilers, solar receivers... He/She assures the delivery on time of products E&I drawings according to the milestones defined by the execution Project Teams. He/she is particularly responsible to deliver his/her work in conformity with internal quality standards as defined in the QMS of the Energy Sector of John Cockerill.

Objectives

The E&I Drafter Is Responsible For The Delivery Of Wiring Diagrams, Instrumentation Hookups, Electrical Cabinet, Cable Trays Drawings… Of The Products Of The Energy Sector Of John Cockerill Under The Hierarchical Responsibility Of The E&I Manager And The Functional Responsibility Of The E&I Engineers With The Following Objectives
  • Respect of the Design Process as defined in the QMS of the Sector,
  • Technical conformity of process documentation to internal standards and contractual requirements,
  • Supply of a fast and reliable service to the execution teams in order to respect the document and equipment contractual delivery schedules of projects.
Responsibilities

The duties of the E&I Drafter are amongst others:
  • Application of the Design Process,
  • Check the completeness of the inputs received from the Technical Project Manager and engineering departments in order to proceed to his/her work,
  • Issue the execution documentation in compliance with internal standards and contractual requirements,
  • Issue the execution documentation in compliance with administrative standards,
  • Issue BOM’s (bill of quantities) of equipment (such as cable trays) for purchasing,
  • Issue and update the standard technical documentation,
  • Keep his competencies updated with regards to the needs of the Energy Sector,
  • Be proactive in the continuous improvement and REX (return on experience) processes.
