You will be joining a growing and successful technology company involved with the design, development and manufacture of complex and innovative hybrid transmission systems for the automotive market.

More - Electric Motor Control Engineer

This eMachine control engineer role will involve supporting a new advanced automotive hybrid transmission system. You will be involved in the design, development, implementation and validation of control software and strategies for electric machines/ electric motors utilising Matlab / Simulink.

Skills / Knowledge Required: Electric Motor Control Engineer

  • A degree, Masters or PhD in a relevant subject area (e.g. control systems, mechatronics, electrical engineering, etc)
  • At least 2 years of industry experience (or a relevant PhD) within electric machine / motor control software design using Matlab / Simulink, and ideally Stateflow.
  • Experience of working on automotive projects would be preferable; more specifically, preference would be given to those with electric vehicle / hybrid powertrain systems experience (but this could include rail, marine, aerospace etc.)
  • A good understanding of 3 phase electric motor control (PMSM, SRM) including torque control, current control and modulation strategies.
