Job DescriptionFrench projects on sustainability. To succeed in this role, you are fluent both in French and English, you have knowledge of environmental transition and sustainable development issues and a good understanding of how public institutions and private companies address these topics. Having an experience or an academic background in urban and regional development policies is an advantage.

You will join our European Policy and Sustainability department
You will be part of an open, dynamic and diverse team of consultants who provide strategic consultancy to the European institutions, stakeholder platforms, national and international institutions and foundations. You will join a growing Brussels-based team of 15+ consultants who provide policy research, economic analysis, stakeholder engagement and process facilitation in a wide range of policy areas. You will also work continuously with around 150 colleagues involved in our Strategic Sustainability Consulting division and have access to a large pool of expertise in Ramboll Management Consulting and Ramboll Group throughout Europe and worldwide.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
- Working on projects contributing to strategy and decision-making in the EU for both public and private clients – especially in France, Belgium but also in other Ramboll local markets
- Contributing to a broad diversity of assignments such as policy studies, evaluations, strategy development, stakeholder consultations or EU funding applications
- Working across a range of policy areas relevant to the EU green-deal and sustainability transition overall, with a focus on climate, environment, clean mobility, urban and regional development, climate adaptation, and just transition
- Preparing business meetings with potential clients
- Undertaking administrative tasks
From the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree and are either in the final stages of, or have completed, a Master’s Degree in political science, regional development, urban planning or sustainability, where you are/were among the top students.
- You have knowledge of and interest in several of the areas mentioned above.
- You are analytical, structured and good at handling many tasks at the same time, and have an excellent command of French and English, both written and oral.
- It is an advantage if you are fluent in one or more additional European languages.
- It is an advantage if you have experience with sustainable urban development.
- You show excellent command of Microsoft Office 365 suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, etc.); command of GIS software is a plus (e.g. ArcGIS)

How To Apply
The opportunity we offer is an internship through the Belgian CIP (professional induction programme) and has a duration of 6 months, with the possibility to extend this period by a further 6 months depending on performance. The internship period is from 1st October 2022 to 31st March 2023 (+/- 1-month flexibility). It will be remunerated at 1,100 EUR net per month and will include normal social security contributions and holidays.
