Help shape the next generation of connected transport technology.

You’ll work at the intersection of software, hardware, and data; transforming business needs into clear functional specifications that drive innovation in on-board systems and operational support applications.

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to analyze and translate business needs into actionable functional requirements.
  • Write functional specifications, requirement matrices, and user stories for agile development teams.
  • Contribute to the design and documentation of data models, BPMN flows, UML diagrams, and use-case scenarios.
  • Support Product Managers and Solution Architects in defining system behavior across both embedded (on-board) and server-side applications.
  • Draft test plans in collaboration with QA engineers.
  • Estimate analysis effort and provide input during sprint planning.
  • Participate in workshops with business stakeholders, developers, and testers to ensure alignment between functional intent and technical delivery.
  • Identify and manage cross-system impacts between on-board and backend solutions.

Tech & tools you’ll work with

  • Modeling: UML, BPMN, Use Cases, Data Models, Sequence Diagrams
  • Collaboration & Delivery: Azure DevOps, Agile / Scrum environment
  • Office & Documentation: MS Office Suite, Confluence or equivalent
  • Domains: Smart Mobility, IoT / Embedded Systems, Public Transport Data

What are we looking for?

Must-have skills

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst.
  • Proven ability to translate complex business processes into structured functional specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of UML and BPMN modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills — able to bridge technical and business language.
  • Languages: Native-level French (spoken & written) is mandatory; English is a plus.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in the transport, logistics, or mobility sector.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems or mixed hardware/software environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for requirement management.

Contract: Freelance or Permanent

Location: Namur (hybrid: 2 days remote, Thursday & Friday on-site)

Language requirement: French fluent (mandatory)
